YAY!! I made my apron for the fair! The style reminds me of a pinafore. Maybe I should prance around the house with a duster and high heels.......Well maybe not...

The ruffles were sooo hard!! (Not the actual ruffle, but sewing the lining in after I made the ruffle.

Happy Birthday 2 ME!!

YIPPIE! My birthday is in 2 days! Actually 1 day, 8 hours, 36 minutes and 20 seconds. (HA HA! Thanks IGoogle birthday countdown! HA;)

Any ways, I looked up birthday cakes and petit fours in honor of my birthday, and there are some gorgeous things out there!! WOW!!

I love all of the monograms! So preppy!

GROW HAIR GROW!!

I think I need some miracle grow for my hair. Just kidding, but seriously my hair needs to hurry up and grow! I used to have it in a short 1920s style bob, but I decided it was time to do something exciting! I am not exactly sure how I want it styled, but I think length wise I want it somewhere a little below my shoulders. maybe 2 inches below or something. I really wish my hair was wavy- like Taylor Swifts hair. Her hair is gorgeous!!

My hair is naturally thin, and I am trying to find a style that would frame my face, and not 'weight me down.' I do not want lots of layers- not anywhere close to a mullet (AHHH)

How is your hair styled right now? What would you change? What do you like?

I do realize that if my hair is not really wavy to begin with, it will not suddenly become like Taylor Swifts hair- but my sisters and I did buy a 3 barreled (?) sassoon crimper. It works really well and we like it a lot, but it will look better when my hair has grown out, and is not in

the 'in between' stage. ;) I am currently using John Frieda's shampoo (brilliant brunette) and this shampoo by TRESemme'. We have an organic conditioner right now, but it is almost out. We usually use John Frieda's brilliant brunette conditioner as well.

I would love any tips for styling hair, products or anything else you might like to add! What do you do with your hair every morning? Throw it in a pony tail? sloppy bun? curl it? straighten

My Dream Dorm Room

For fun I have been planning out of dream dorm room. (I do realize that I have several years until college, but hey, who says you can't dream?;) So I have put together this post with some neat dorm room items! ENJOY!

A Latte of Pumpkin Pie

Yesterday evening I really wanted to make a pumpkin spice latte. So I got out all of the ingredients, and started making it. Lets just say it didn't turn out as desired. It was way to thick to be a latte, but I didn't want to waste it.

The texture of the "latte" was more like a pumpkin pie, so I made pumpkin pie!

(I did look up pumpkin pie and add what I had left out!;)

It actually tasted great! (and if you are wondering, no you could not taste the coffee! I guess it baked out.)

Having pumpkin pie made me think about all the wonderful things about fall.

-Bonfires with friends

-Our family fall festival with our good friends

-s'mores

-Thanksgiving

-long walks on cold days

-Leaf piles

-Fall fashion- (not this years!) Classic cords, rain-boots, long sleeved shirts

Last minute Beach Trip!!

We planned on going to the beach on Saturday, but on Friday my mom said "I really want to go to the beach. Today" And that's just what we did! We packed up and left for the beach with in several hours. (We are not very last minute people, I was surprised at us!;)

The was gorgeous, & the weather was great!

Saturday we spent the whole day out on the beach. Which resulted in sun burn. ;( I did put on sun screen but I guess I didn't put on enough ;(

We went on several long walks up and down the beach. There were tons of surfers in the water and it was very neat to sit and watch them catch some waves.

It was very relaxing and relieved lots of stress.

I can not believe eight years has gone by since 9-11.
