It's........SATURDAY!!!!!

This week has been kind of hectic, especially because I am just getting over a cold.

I spent this week doing a ton of school, and i made two aprons.

I had to do a demonstration project for school, and I did cooking so, I needed something to wear. You know to get people into the vibe! ;) My mom and I had gone to a fabric store a while ago, and I found the cutest vintage fabric. (I would like to make a cute sun dress out of it over the summer.) So I made an apron out of that, and then made another one for a lady who goes to our church. She cooks for over 100 people every wednesday night. Her food is always so gourmet and DELISH! Gosh if I tried to cook for that many people........

I will post pictures of the aprons, after we get some camera batteries.. That camera really eats the batteries fast!

I made guacamole for my demonstartion project

Ingredients-

• 2 medium sized ripe avocados


• 2 TBLS lemon or lime juice


• 2-3 cloves garlic


• 1/4 TSP ground sea salt


• sprig of cilantro

`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

1. cut avocados in half, using a spoon scrape out avocado. place into a bowl


2. add salt, lime juice, and garlic


3. mash with a fork ( food processor or blender)


4. mince cilantro. Add to mixture

Thats it! There are soo many ways to make guacamole, with tomatoes, peppers.....This is just a short easy way. I believe it took 5 minutes. (well and a lot of talking!;)

I really wanted to post a video. Can someone clue me in on how to? I get how to press the button that says 'add video' but I don't really know how to save a video to add it.

I got a giftcard to I tunes and bought some songs. Have you ever heard the song at the end of the "ultimate gift?" well its by Sara Groves and is called 'something changed' I bought that one and I like it alot!

AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I am having another Goodwill freak out! I LOVE YOU!!!!

Anyways, yesturday my mom and I went to a different goodwill, and apperantly every monday at 2:00 they have an auction for more expensive items. (purses, vases, type writters)

So I went there just before 2 and got to stay for the auction.

And can you guess what I saw!??!??! A RALPH LAUREN BLUE AND YELLOW TOTE BAG!! ( it still had the tag on for $90.00)

I actually had just seen one of these, that this girl was carrying in some store, and I was like LOVE IT!

Anyways It was $13 then this old guy bid (I really do not know why he wanted a womans tote bag but any-whooo.) $14, I bid $15, he bid $16, and I bid $17. Then he was like, ohh she can just take it. And I was like "thank you soo much!" and he was like "*grin*" But that was the most excitement of the whole auction, it was usually just one person bidding at a time, so nothing drastic.

Then after a couple minutes he came up to my mom and was like "did you see the tag still on it?" and my mom was like "Really!?? the tags still on it?" and then I came up and he said "you know the only reason I came to goodwill today was for that bag" (And I was standing there feeling guilty for winning it. But then I was like "maybe he is just trying to give me some guilt treatment.") "Well thank you for letting me get it!" then he left. Should I feel really bad about this? He didn't look like a hobo or anything. He was actually pretty well dressed.

Yesturday our church had a "teacher symposium." (It wasn't for just our church, it was open for any teachers) My mom has taught home schooled kids and she subs for my science class sometimes. It was intresting although I didnt get to sit in through the whole thing, I had a lot of school work to do. It was mainly about, different ways you could teach your class to make it more interesting for them, and yourself! It was really good.

I am probably supposed to be doing school but i had to let out some craziness, and what better place to do it then on a blog!?!?

Great Deals

Yesturday my sisters and I went shopping at goodwill. Now usually you can't find much there, but I guess it was our day!

I found-

• A lime green Puffy vest (i had been wanting one, for such a long time!;)


• A purple Ralph Lauren Tee shirt (And guess what?!? It even has the little Ralph Lauren guy in bright teal!!!! HOW FUN IS THAT!?!;)


• Some black tights with different coloured hearts. (great for Valentines Day!

Its not a ton, but I was thrilled!

A couple weeks ago My mom and I went to the 'junk shop' aka R.K. Blevins. It is a nasty looking place with great deals! We found a black shag rug for our bathroom, and a lot if other cute things. (The junk shop sells things from nice stores that came in a box that was dented or had some tiny problem. But nothing there is like completely torn.) But back to the subject, I found a really cute dusty brown (is that a colour?? any ways it looks like a dusty colour!;) bubble skirt, and looks kind of hippie-ish. (Great for contra dancing if I ever go!!;) It was only $4!! YIPPEE for great deals! I also got 3 pairs of really cute socks. Only $6.00 all together! Great deals just thrill me!

I could spend a whole post one this but I will not. Have you ever tried Gelato? It is half way between ice cream, frozen yogurt and a sorbet. Only its like TWICE as good. It has this amazing texture that makes you want more and more and more!! We all went to a cute TINY shop called 'Cafe Gelato' They had some great flavours that you can't get in ice cream- Like Kiwi, blackberry, hazel nut, mango, and then the regular-chocolate, strawberry. You get the idea! D-E-L-I-S-H! Your probably starved by now. Sorry.. Could'nt help it;)

The building is also really cute, it has little 'cafe' tables and it is the cutest peach colour. It also has light green, pink-ee red and black. It actually seems to make the store look bigger than it really is! It's only a little bigger than a walk in closet. (a big one)

Abby had a friend over yesturday and we went too 'Old Salem' (for Christmas we got a year round memeber ship there!) they have this AMAZING toy museum there, of toys kids used to play with. They looked so old a fragile. Imagine saying something like-

"yes dear you can play with my porcelain, antique, extremely valuable, special doll."

"uhhh huh, I am sure your dolly would just LOVE to make mud pies with you....."

hmm....I dont know if I would do that.

If you've ever noticed, old toys have a ton of colour to them, but now kids toys are mainly red, yellow, blue, pink... (primary colours plus pink.) Slighly boring compared to all the colours they used to use!! All the toys were very unique and intricate.

Since I could'nt take home one of those cool toys I bought a stuffed Schnauzer. (I can't have one of those either!!;)

Smooth moves and babsysitting 2!

Babysitting......O the joy... This time I can actually say 'O the joy' and mean it!

I am going babysitting for the SWEETEST little boy I have EVER babysat for! Last time, I would ask him to do something and he would be like "ok"

It went sort of like this-

Me- "Blake eat your green beans."

Blake- "ok"

Me "Blake its time to brush your teeth."

Blake "ok"

Me "its time to go to bed Blake"

Blake "ok, goodnight!"

He was by far, the easiest little boy I have ever had to stay with. Soooo, that should be an exciting evening!! When Blake goes to sleep, his mom and dad let me play their wii (I think that the wii is one of the most amazing/ interactive video game I have ever played!! {actually I wouldn't classify the wii under 'video games' its just so unique!}) Have you ever played 'Wario Smooth moves?' If you have a wii you should really invest in that game! They make you do all this crazy stuff while holding the controller in different ways. You get to do stuff like- close up a store, rescue a person, find a person in the dark, balance a broom on your hand, saute vegetables, saw wood, pump up a ballon, put an old ladies dentures in.....you get the idea!

anyways, I am going to leave soon! WOOO HOOO!

A snowy day

Yesturday, when it snowed we finally got to go sledding!! Actually we went sledding on the road.;) It.was.so.much.fun!!! probably the most funI had ever had sledding! The road was really icy so you went twice as fast, and it wasn't slushy like in the grass. ( The snow is basically gone now- what a rip off!;)

I also was in a cleaning mood yesturday, so I cleaned the laundry room. (it had been needing a good cleaning for a looooong time) it's blando.com with white cement walls and fake white tile floors. (I really dont know what these people were thinking when they made everything so boring and colorless down there!) We had these 'wallies' (wall stickers) that have different coloured bird houses on them, so we put those up until we can paint!! Thats one thing I love about spring and summer- you get to PAINT!! HURRARY!

My sisters had a snow day today, so their out. Abby and I went out side and she tried sledding. It didn't work. But Lucy was THRILLED!! She raced around in circles, and messed up the pretty snow, but oh well! maybe we will get more next time!

Well I guess you know what today is?? Right? Well today is the day that Barrack Obama will be sworn in. Our 44th president of the united states. hmmm... It sounds so weird to add Obama to the presidents list. The very best thing I can do is to pray for him.

Yesturday I went jean shopping. Seriously shopping for jeans is sooooo stressful! I have always wished that I could combine two sizes. You know the length of this and the waist of this (oh and possibly the colour of this!) I didn't find 1 pair. I'm down to my last pair.

Have you evey tried any of bath and body works Mango Mandarin lotion/perfume??

If you have I know you fell in L-O-V-E with it! It has such a refreshing scent to it, and the body butter last a long time! (both on your skin and in the huge bottle!)

My sister bought me the perfume yesturday and i have enjoyed using it so much!!
