Hello everyone!!

I am so sorry about the lack of posting. (ALMOST 2 WEEKS! I can not believe it!) One of our computers has been blocking gmail, and blogger log in. I cannot comment, post or do anything but read other people posts. So I am still here but I have not been able to comment. The computer I am using is super slow, and all of my pictures I wanted to share are on the other computer. Hopefully I will be up and running soon. (did you get any of that?)

In other news, Christmas is coming! And fast! I am still shocked at how little of time we have left to shop, decorate Etc. I need to start planning my Christmas list!;)

My school is coming to an end for Thanksgiving/Christmas break and I have exams in two weeks. TWO WEEKS!!! I have been already in school for almost 15 weeks! Unbelievable.

Right now I am reading "Through Gates of Splendor." It is a really good book, although I find it kind of hard to stay interested.

OH- Here's something! Lauren and I went a Fall Retreat with our youth group. It was a blast!! We did tons of high ropes, and low ropes courses. I completed all of the high and low ropes! YAY!! But it was super scary, I was only standing on a thin cable, and I had to attach myself in by myself to each different course, while standing above 30 feet off of the ground. AHHHH!!! I also did the rock climbing wall and discovered that I LOVE IT!!!! I did the easy rock wall 3 times, and then decided to move on to the hardest one they had. It was very hard!! Only 3 of the 25 people in our group could make it to the top. Two of which were boys, and the last one was...........

ME!!! (I was very sore for days afterward!) I am still in shock that I did it-all the way!! I think everyone was shocked as well. So for the rest of the retreat they called me- "Beast" "Spiderwoman" & "spidermonkey." HA!!!! Imagine me, the girl who is super skinny, and has absolutely no muscle (HA) climbing a rock wall that 22 other people could not do! Anyways, needless to say, I was in shock after I got down. That was my very first rock wall I had ever done, although I had done like a six foot one, but it was really small. (It was connected with a high ropes course)

The retreat was a blast and I made some new friends. Josh (the youth group leader) and Jonathan (The 2nd youth group leader) put together this completely amazing pirate treasure hunt, complete with a treasure to uncover. (in the dirt) The catch? It was all over the WHOLE camp, (At night) and all of the clues were written in old English. One of the clues was found in the middle of the lake. My partner and I got stuck with a bad paddle boat that didnt work, and Hannah had to jump out (She got her feet and some of her jeans wet) and pull us back in. We were a sight! ;) Josh and Jonathan had every group start out with a different clue, so that we would not all be running to the same place, at the same time. The last clue we had to get from Josh after finding all the other ten clues. Josh & Jonathan had rigged up a laser pointer, to point directly where the treasure was buried so all you had to do was dig at that spot. (GENIUS!) (The treasure hunt took 3 HOURS!!!! Thats how hard it was!;) Two of my good friends won, and came home with a huge box of candie, and movie Gift Cards.

Have a great FRIDAY!!

Fall Festivals

My dad is not so keen on the idea of 'Halloween' so we do not do it, but this year, (tomorrow) we are going to help out at a fall festival. We will be painting faces! I am very excited! I did it at the 5k, last Saturday. We had the option to dress up and my sisters and I decided we would. Lauren will be and Egyptian princess, Abby- Minnie Mouse, and myself- a Tiger. I am really excited! It is for an elementary school and there are supposed to be raffle contests, food, costumes and more! Lauren and my mom got me tiger ears, a tiger print bow, and a tail at Wally world. (It came in a set) I am going to have my face painted with whiskers, and a black nose.

Some time this month (I can not believe Oct. is almost over! AHHH! Christmas seems right around the corner!) my family, and a some good friends of ours will be having a fall party. We have done it for as long as I can remember. We make a pina'ta eat home cooked foods, have candy hunts ;0 and just hang out. Our traditional game is 'Dictionary.' (OR Balderdash- same thing)

Right now for school I am trying to finish reading 'The Red Badge of Courage.' It is the most boring book. (Actually Billy Budd was worse) Anyways, pray that I get through it....And understand it, I have to write a paper on it, and if I do not understand the book, I can assure you that the paper will not be that great either! ;)

Have a great weekend!

Fun Run!

My church started a running program to help support our food bank. They do it once a year. There is a Fun Run (1 mile) and a 5k. I did the fun run. It was VERY cold today, and I felt like my hands would probably fall off! ;)

Here is a set I made on Polyvore!
It was great! I think I came in somewhere between 10th and 15th out of 100 people.

After the races where over I helped doing some face painting! It was a blast! I painted an alien, zebra, 3 butterflies, two hearts, and a soccer ball. All the little kids were so precious! I got a pink & orange tree painted on my face! AWW!!!

It was great and our Church raised $15,000 for the food bank. I can't wait until next year! Maybe I will practice and do the 5k! YIPPIE!!
Have a great weekend!

On Sunday we went to my grandmas house. She was sick on my birthday and could not make it for my birthday lunch. ;( She made us a wonderful lunch of....

chicken and brie croissants
butter beans, & corn
brownies with raspberries and ice cream

She gave me my very first pair of tiny diamond stud earrings. I am thrilled! I didn't expect it. She also gave me some Dove dark chocolate! YUM!!

My coffee travel mug also came Sunday! My two best friends gave it to me at church.

I know- my monogram is backwards but I took the picture on my computer, and if I had flipped it, the 'R' would have been upside down. IT also came with a really cute pink and green background as well! I love them both so much! THANKS EVERYONE!!

One very busy day

WOW!! I am so extremely tired. Today has lasted a millennium! Well to begin I got up at like 7:00AM and we went to help out with the child care. We did not know the bride or the groom, but my friend knew them and they needed help with it. At about 11:00 we went home and cleaned up like crazy. It sure is a shocker how messy your house can get in 2 days! HA! After that we went to Athena's Greek Restaurant and got Chicken souvlaki which was amazing!!

At 3:30PM my sister, Abby and I, went to babysit for some friends. Our Womens Bible Study had an auction not long ago, and our friends signed up to host ______________ a dinner party for 12 people. We took care of their two kids, Annie Catherine & Marie. They are so precious! Annie has bleach blonde hair and blue eyes, while Marie has dark brown curly short hair, dark skin, and brown eyes. (They are both adopted, I think that is AMAZING!) They are so cute together and are both almost 3 years old. We babysat them while their parents hosted the party, and after we put them to bed we helped in the kitchen, and washing dishes. The dinner was MARVELOUS!! It must have taken forver! Everything was homemade and nothing came out of a box!

-Potato Salad with scallions
- tossed romaine salad with roasted brown sugar pecans, mandarin oranges, and a red wine/olive oil vinegarette
-Pumpkin soup
-pulled pork
-marinated grilled chicken legs
-water chesnuts rapped in bacon and grilled
-Lemon bars
-Raspberry bars with fresh raspberries, and REAL whipped cream
-smores bars
-Coffee
-Wine

yummmy!! I was so glad that we got to be a part of helping them out. Their backyard looked gorgeous!
-Tiki torches
-White tent with the table underneath
- chairs around a fire pit
-A table for the food
-Christmas lights

It looked even more wonderful when it was late and all the Christmas lights were on.
But I am very tired now!

One more random thing- Find me on polyvore! monogrammedprep
